The Read by the Sea Literary Festival is back in River John! Now in the 26th year, the Festival will be centered in Bissell Park in the centre of the village on July 11th for a one-day event.
The 2026 Read by the Sea Literary Festival features authors from the North Shore of NS, including Harry Thurston, Dian Day, Jennifer Hatt, and Camilla Thompson along with MC John Ashton.
The festival starts at 9:30 am, with authors’ readings begin at 11 am. Participants will have the opportunity to speak with the authors and buy their books. In addition, other authors from around the province will be selling their books at the Fantastic Grown-up Book Fair at the River John Firehall.
