Gospel Nights at St. John’s
As a professional musician, Jim White has played
every sort of music in every sort of venue, but on
Sundays, it’s gospel music he wants to hear. So, for
the better part of a year, Jim has been organizing bi-
monthly gospel nights at St. John’s Anglican Church
in River John. At a gospel night, audiences will be
treated to the talents of a dozen or more musicians,
some playing in a full band or duet, and some lifting
their voice to the sound of a single guitar. Whether
their style is country, bluegrass, indie rock, or what
Jim affectionately calls “old churchy music,” what
the musicians have in common is a love for songs of
hope, faith, and gratitude.
