When traveling the Sunrise Trail please stop and visit with us! Make sure you visit the beautiful, sandy beaches and don't forget to take a peek at the river that flows through the village itself.

The end of July is an especially busy time of the year because this is when the annual River John Festival Days take place. It is also when River John celebrates its birthday. The festival includes a variety of activities for both the young and the old. It all begins with the children's parade and includes fiddling contests, pipe band, entertainment almost every evening, lobster supper, breakfasts and much more. The giant street parade takes place on the last day and marks the end of the week long festival.

At the end of the summer, many of the tourists have returned home and only a few remain during the fall season to catch a glimpse of the beautiful fall colours. Those who do stay can look forward to walks on country roads on warm fall days.

Visitors can find a place to stay by visiting our business directory.
