Energy conservation and renewable energy for the home
A presentation by Julie Bailey on Wednesday, January 27th at 7pm. (storm date will be Wednesday, February 3rd)
Julie Bailey is a professional engineer who has a masters degree in energy conservation on Nova Scotia farms. She is currently doing a PhD at Dalhousie University on energy sustainability and is the farm energy specialist with the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture. She will use examples from her own home renovation to show how people can renovate their homes to conserve energy and incorporate renewable energy sources. She will also talk about some practical everyday methods of conserving energy in the home.
There will be a question and answer period at the end of the presentation and time for discussion. People who attend the event will also have the opportunity to sign up to visit a home in the area that has energy conservation features at a later date.
