River John Festival Days occurs the last full week of July!
The official opening is at a church service at Salem United Church (11am) followed by lunch. Food is a major component of the week put on by different groups. There are many food related events throughout the week: Strawberry Tea, soup luncheon, barbeque on the beach, Warden's Tea, pie sale, and the Saturday lobster dinner.
You won't go hungry in River John!
Music is on display every evening with Music on the Veranda, featuring our local musicians.
There are activities for those who like the outdoors: the Fun Run, Scrabble Walk, Crate Run, a visit to the Lismore Sheep Farm & Store, softball and bed races. The week's events are concluded on Saturday with a street parade, fireworks and adult dance.
There are many daily activities for adults and children at the River John Library.
